In designing this blade we tried to capture the benefits of both designs and build a blade that is both lightweight and durable. This paddle loves long training days, racing, downwinding and touring. This blade is available in full carbon.
Kialoa Methane II Carbon/Epoxy/FG Oval Purple Uncut
The Methane II has been a really popular surf paddle from Kialoa for a number of years now – the Methane is an Allround paddle that you can use in both surf and flat water conditions.
It is a very lightweight paddle, just over 0.5kgs and it has an oval carbon prepreg shaft and a 73/4 width paddle blade. The Methane comes with a T Bar handle and we can either pre-cut it to your requirements or you can easily do it yourself.

Developed in response to the insights gathered after the 2023 ICF World Championships and input from paddlers at all skill levels, the new Gen R is designed to offer superior performance in various conditions, while being user friendly to all racers.
THIN AND LIGHT DESIGN
The new Gen R is thinner than its predecessor with less volume, making it lighter, faster and more nimble, particularly in side winds or during beach starts.
NEW RAILS
The round rails on toward the nose rails give control and tracking in the side wind, offering the perfect balance of control and balance.
EXTENDED STANDING AREA
The standing area on the new Gen R has been extended further forwards for easy stance trimming in sprints and downwind.
NEW ROCKERLINE
